This solid door display case combines some traditional art nouveau curves with contemporary simplicity. The oval shaped case and doors were formed and veneered using the vacuum press technique. The interior of the case was veneered and finished like the exterior as the doors are intended to be open as often as they are closed. The sinuous vertical lines of the case sweep upward along the body of the case and are sculpted to form both the legs and the door pulls as they continue up to meet and support the sculpted solid wenge top. The doors themselves swing on hand-made brass hinges using ball-bearing pivots for exceptionally smooth action.
